Removing Coffee Stains Out Of Carpet

When it comes to coffee stains, it seems like coffee has its own special timing. It sounds funny, but coffee stains always, without an exception, happen at the most inconvenient time. You probably know the situation when you are half asleep in the morning, trying to get ready for work, and before caffeine does its job, something else wakes you up completely. As you are running late for work, the disaster strikes. Your coffee somehow finds the way out of the mug, and it is now all over your clothes and the carpet. Don’t worry, Carpet Cleaning got you covered. Follow these simple instructions and your carpet will be back to normal in no time.
  1. BLOT, BLOT, BLOT
In situations like this, your reaction time is crucial. The sooner you treat the spill, the less likely it is that you’ll end up with a stained carpet. Use a regular or a paper towel and blot as much of the coffee as possible. Do not rub! Rubbing can cause the carpet to soak up the coffee faster and you really don’t want that to happen. Trust us.
  1. USE CLEAN WATER
Apply some warm water on the stain. Make sure it’s not hot, but lukewarm. Put some water in the spray bottle and spray the stain with it. After that, you can also use a sponge to dab some more water on the stain.
  1. PREPARE SOLUTION
Mix ¼ teaspoon of mild, non-bleaching detergent or a carpet cleaning shampoo and 1 liter of warm water. Moisture a piece of cloth with a cleaning solution and simply let it lay over the stain. Use the bottom of a teaspoon to gently press the cloth on the carpet. Again, do not rub! Rubbing will only create a bigger mess. After that, rinse the stain with clean water and blot the excess liquid.
