  1. Blot
If you are dealing with a fresh spill, make sure to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. Use a dry towel, a paper towel or newspaper and place it directly on the spill. Gently blot until the most of the liquid are removed.
  1. Rinse
Wash the accident zone with clean water
  1. Vinegar-Baking soda spray
For stains which have already set, use powerful solution of regular vinegar and baking soda. Mix 2 cups of vinegar, 2 cups of warm water and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Put the mixture in the spray bottle and then apply directly to the stain. Let it set for an hour and wash it with clean water. Bothe vinegar and baking soda are amazing odor removers.
  1. Avoid using cleaning chemicals

Do NOT use any cleaning chemicals, especially those with ammonia. They can produce huge damages on your carpet.
